Friendly, healthy competition is good for us. Whether you are competing against a friend at your club, against another club, for a shot at a national title, or representing your country in international championships, the rules of the game are the same (but the prize money may be higher!).

PAN AFRICAN SCRABBLE ASSOCIATION (PANASA) presents
AFRICA YOUTH SCRABBLE CHAMPIONSHIP: KENYA 2025
PANASA and Scrabble Kenya are pleased to announce the 2nd edition of the Africa Youth Scrabble Championship (AYSC) to be held in Kenya from August 14 to 17, 2025. This event is open to only youths from Africa.

Entry Criteria: Players who are 15 and below as of August 14 2025 will play in the U-15 category. Players who are 19 and below (down to 16yrs) as of August 14 2025 will play in the U-19 category.
​
Accreditation: Players who require an International passport to travel to the host country will present their passport for age validation and accreditation. Players who do not require a passport to travel to the host country or who are from the host country have the option of presenting their passport or birth certificate for age validation and accreditation.
​
Visas: For those who require a travel visa to Kenya, it can be processed online at a cost of $30 per application. It is recommended to allow at least 2 weeks prior to travel for visa processing. PANASA and Scrabble Kenya will provide support for all visa applications.
​
Registration: $20/player.
Prizes:
U19 1st Prize - $1000 + Laptop + AYSC Trophy
U15 1st Prize - $500 + Laptop + Trophy
Top 10 in each category will be rewarded
